There are some users of Wikipedia who are of the misconception that if they have an issue, they should circumvent all existing processes for dealing with that issue and tell Jimbo Wales instead. The reasons for telling Jimbo their issues include the misconception that by whinging, they will get special treatment. This could not be further from the truthe, especially when your wussing revolves around one of these topics
- Can I have Sysop?
- Wikipedia's admins are so corrupt
- I was blocked for vandalism......
- I was blocked for no reason at all......
- I am going to (INSERT NEGATIVE VERB HERE)
The Mind of the Wuss[edit]
There are many false reasons that people seem to think that wussing on Jimbo's page will benefit them, these reasons include
- Jimbo's is bigger
- Jimbo is my friend
- No one will touch me
- Go straight to the top if you want something done
Probability of Success[edit]
The probability of getting what you want from Jimbo is very very small, so small infact its not even worth mentioning. Jimbo's most likly responses will be "This really belongs at ..." or "I think User:.... will have a better idea".
Unforeseen Consequences[edit]
Most people don't understand that wussing to Jimbo in a bid to circumvent the processes set in place will not only draw negative attention from 2/3rds of Wikipedia and have a bad reputation, but will most certainly cause them to fail any RFA they attempt in the next decade.
Summary[edit]
Jimbo does not care about your problems, you're not special, you're just another number. Do yourself a favor and use the processes provided to solve your problems AND NO MATTER WHAT, don't whine on Jimbo's talk page
