From Beta Wikipedia

An Iliad, symbol Id, is a unit of length used for Wikipedia articles and discussions. It is equal to 1.44 Mb, the length of the Wikisource version of Homer's epic poem of the same name, and equivalent to a little over 280,000 English words. To read a one-Iliad page would take around twelve hours, assuming non-stop reading at normal comprehension speed. To read the same page out loud would take 31 hours, which is believed by the source of the 31-hour block often imposed for vandalism. Because of the large size of the unit, it is common to talk of milliads, where one milliad equals one thousandth of an Iliad.

It is recommended that articles be no longer than four milliads. Long pages can be found at Special:Longpages: as of 2007-04-07, Wikipedia's longest page in the article space, List of former members of the United States House of Representatives, is 320 milliads long.
