Deutsch: Naturschutzgebiet „Allgäuer Hochalpen“ (NSG 00400.01): Auf etwa 1800 m Höhe, im Rücken der Schneck, tief unten – nicht zu sehen - der Stierbach im oberen Bärgündeletal. Gegenüber die Felsgipfel und -grate von Kreuzkopf und Wiedemer Kopf.
Der kleine See ist rotbraun aufgrund einer Algenblüte, hervorgerufen durch die Burgunderblutalge (Planktothrix rubescens), die klares, stilles, nährstoffarmes Wasser liebt.
English: Nature reserve "Allgäuer Hochalpen" (NSG 00400.01): At an altitude of about 1800 m, the Schneck is behind the photographer. The valley in front belongs to the Stierbach in the upper Bärgündele valley. In the background the ridges and summits of Kreuzkopf and Wiedemer Kopf can be seen. The little pond is reddish brown due to an algal bloom, caused by Planktothrix rubescens. That species of cyanobacteria prefers clear, standing water, which is poor in nutrients. |
